J.B. Mauney already needs hip replacement and he’s only in his 30’s. He's had many broken bones and other injuries. Can you imagine the pain he’s going to endure at an old age if he lives that long? He might end up addicted to pain killer. To me there’s no amount of money or fame worth that kind of misery or risk. Family and friends will also end up taking a load from when a person suffers from constant pain. I’ve been injured working with cattle and no bull riding was involved.

If I got a thrill from taking risks with little chance of a reward,
I'd play Russian roulette with myself.
A neighbor here won a few grand championships, enough to buy a few new pickups,
but now he's a quadriplegic for life.
