If they have hay and water at the barn, not sure there’s that much difference on shrink unless you unload straight off the truck into the sale ring on sale day. I sold a couple loads of 987 lb steers in august, weighed on the elevator scale 8 miles from my house on the way down in the evening, at noon the next day they had shrank 5.5% thru the ring.
