North Central Illinois | That is a very fair point. Especially right now with what has taken place in the last year. There is nothing wrong with using financing options when times are lean if you have a realistic and clear cut plan for paying the money back and the resources to back it up. If you have steady employment and the payments on that debt don't keep you from paying for all of the other necessities in life, there is nothing wrong with taking on some debt. Everyone's situation is different. To some of us new carpet might not seem at all to be a necessity. Like someone else mentioned, if someone just bought a house with really soiled carpet, they might be pretty tapped out from scraping together the down payment. They might have enough pride that they really want their new home to have respectable carpeting so the financing is their only option. On the other hand they might also have several other loans and a significant amount of credit card debt. If that is the case they don't need new carpeting. | |
