If you research bloodlines you will find the answer. I am not trying to be a smart butt. Angus genetics is the only reason simmental is still even around as a breed.


You need to research your simmi history.....there are 2 types of simmis.....swiss....more of a milking breed, and fleckvieh, the beef breed. Fleckvieh doesn't need angus to stick around. Maybe its the other way around... maybe its the Simmi's made the angus stick around as a breed.
