Alberta, Canada | I have long thought that the upside down food pyramid that has developed might be destined to fail. There are at least ten people eating for every one worker producing food. That ratio includes the people working in all the industries supporting agriculture. Commercial farmers are probably 1-2% of the population.
I know man cannot live on bread alone but he can’t live without bread at all. The non-farming population should be very concerned with our well being but largely they are not. In fact the food system is often viewed with fear and resentment.
Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? With the current steep decline into totalitarianism it doesn’t look good. I think things will get a lot worse before they get better. | |
