NW IL | I think the question you need to ask is "can Raven Smartrax MD work with 3rd party GPS?"
With the hydraulic smartrax I'm fairly certain it can accept 3rd party GPS. With Smartrax MD I honestly don't know. The ParaDyme has an optional aux cable that you can send GPS to 3rd party controllers. The cable has 2 serial ends on it. For RTK one of the serial ports could be used to feed in RTK from an external radio or modem. The second serial port could be used to connect to 3rd party applications.
For what used ParaDyme RTK units are running these days, I would think you could find a Raven Phoenix 300 RTK set up for about the same (or maybe less) money. I'm not saying don't pursue the ParaDyme but have you considered older used Raven RTK options? | |
