sw corner ia. | in my spot, beans planted first week june will not suffer any yield disadvantage at all. harvest date will be pushed back some but that is the only dis I can see. since I don't farm half the county I have no problem getting everything planted in the slot I want. I realize I am lucky in that respect, some would disagree.
beans planted in april most always struggle to get even a 75% stand after three weeks. just the way it works here and I know better than to argue with the weather. | |
