Been doing 20" beans into 30" corn rows for last 6 years, all no-til and always have went with the rows. I did build a 20" planter that tractor tires go in the middle of old row and bean rows at least 5" off old row. I plant 30' of corn, 20' of beans. So not perfect every 3rd pass. I run row cleaners and have great stands. The only time I've had issues doing this is if stalks are damp. Just make sure row cleaners are not running too deep. Very few times I've went at a angle, that worked fine also, but much prefer to go with the rows.
