Build your braces and run one set of net boards and boundary strainers to each brace. Tension them both up so that there is slack in the gate hole, then make the wire off to your brace post. If simply hard stapling holds the tension, the wire was never tight to start with, AND it puts 100% of the available rotational force on the post it's stapled to, not to mention the damage it does to the wire and coatings. If it is even remotely snug, the post will spin and spit the brace post out over a few winter/spring intersections. Net wire needs to come off the center of the post and head straight down the fence line.
