With flood nozzles a couple days, maybe, before it starts, and all the urea portion could be gone in 2 weeks or less if conditions for volatilization are ideal.
Steam nozzles will buy some time, maybe a few days more than flood jets.
It’s pretty hard to put a countdown on percentages that will or won’t be lost. So many variables.
It’s really easy to add NBPT and buy a good week to 10 days and maybe longer. Should only cost you $2/acre.
