You are exactly correct that there are very few re infections, and those few are typically found immuno-compromised individuals.

I told the medical folks here I would wait to get the vaccine since I had already had COVID and that I would let others go before me. However when I went to sign my wife up, there were lots of open slots, so I went ahead and got it.

Basically, while I know I have immunity for some time (and that time seems to be getting longer as we know more about this disease) I really don't want to get this thing again.

According to my doc, the vaccine will extending my immunity, or at a minimum boost my immune system further. Given all that, I decided to go forward with the inoculation.
