Subject: RE: anybody fell on their butt

NW Illinois Stephenson county
Of several butt falls, the one I most remember was about 15 years ago. I was alongside a cow holding her steady and her tail out of the vet's face while he was trying to untwist her uterus so her calf could be born. She moved suddenly and I fell on my butt into the gutter. Thankfully I missed my tailbone, but caught my flesh on the edge of the gutter. It hurt like crazy. That area swelled up about the size of half a football. It was very hard using the tractor to do chores and haul manure because I had to sit forward on the seat so my "half football" size lump did not cause a big pain. This happened late winter and I was worried how I was going to do field work. After a month and a half the swelling subsided and I was able to do field work fairly comfortable. As with most anything it takes longer to heal than to get injured!
