When I run irrigated corn stalks with a Strip Cat, I have found the more spring pressure the better. Cuts better, keeps residue managers moving and throwing away from the knife. Helps to run at an angle (I ran 15 degrees) but you can run with the rows too, just may have more plugging issues.
