WC Mn/Dakotas | My sensors are every 4" down to 48" 24/7. Snow cover does make a difference. I see the bottom be a slower more gradual thaw and the surface thaw faster, but goes up and down in temps. Yes the coldest the longest is 1/2 to 2/3 of the way down of original frozen layer. I would not say it gets colder or moves lower as it's thawing out though only as it's colder on the surface would I say cold moves down. Maybe your saying the same thing and I just read it differently? | |
