Texas | When I bought my house the PO told us they couldnt afford to cool the big living room on its own unit. First time I turned it on it drained the batteries in under a day for the thermostat and the heater turned on when the batts died. My AC man ended up having to trace all the wires going to the T stat. Someone had really screwed it up. He made short work of it and had me running in under an hour. Folks had lived there 4 years since they converted to all electric. I’m assuming it was never right. Dang thermostat wiring can be quite intimidating to an even above average home owner. | |
