Subject: Hog barn heaters

Ks
I’ve got a bunch of the hired hand lp 75000 btu heaters in my pig nursery. They are very unreliable. I’ve got one now that burns very loud and the flame is really uneven. I’ve had others run like this also. I cannot figure out what causes it . I’ve cleaned the burner changed the orfic checked gas pressures but nothing seems to help. It also will trip the high limit sometimes so I changed that but it still does it. I’ve had similar experiences with some of the others. I’ve had to turn the gas pressure way down from recommended setting sometimes just to keep them from not tripping the high limit . Does the gas valve have anything to do with how they burn? I figured the gas valve is basically just turning the gas on or off so how would that affect the flame? Also they are really finicky to humidity and moisture.. Anyone have experience with this situation? The heaters are not very old.. Thanks!
