Thanks for the info. We have had older fuel injected pickups that would crank a long time before starting and a new oil sending unit cured them. They must have deleted that in the computer programming on the LS engines. GM mechanic or partsman said it was to meet federal mandate to shut off vehicle's fuel pump in case of rollover to prevent fire and to keep from running engine without oil pressure. Good info to know for the newer engines.
