Subject: Parmesan cheese

Mazon, IL
Made some Parmesan cheese in December 2019 and decided to take it out of the cheese cave today. It has a great flavor but is extremely hard. There is no cutting this with a knife. I chipped some off using the knife like a chisel and hitting it with a hammer.

Is there a way to get some moisture back into it to soften it or should I just microwave it?
