Subject: Serial Port Voltage of Ag Devices

NW KS
What voltage do the serial lines of most Ag devices operate at? I know older serial devices had a 12 volt signal and then they went to 5 and even down to 3. I am guessing the 12 volt stuff predates most of the precision ag stuff since you can typically use a usb to Serial adapter to connect a laptop.

Specifically I am wondering if I can pull Serial data from a trimble 252 into an arduino without a logic level convertor.
