NE Iowa | Corn would handle the low pH much better than beans. 200# of Pell lime won't do much but is a start. 400# would maybe start to move the needle. I would definitely get a seedbox Moly seed treatment. I planted beans in a similar situation once on a rented former pasture field. Looked sick all year and tissue test showed severe molybdenum deficiency. Next year had another low pH pasture field again and used sodium molybdate on the seed and it turned out much better. | |
