Hard to compare hourly and salary jobs. Overtime can add up quickly both ways. If you can keep a salary job to 40 hrs or less you work for a real good company. At the factory where I work all salary employees are expected to work 50 hours and cover each others vacation = 72 hour weeks.
Who earns more the first year out of school!
