Trimble is main contributor here but there are others.First thing is having surveying equipment to gain readings to feed computer.Your Trimble rep can get you in touch with help,there are many custom operators around us with surveying setups,we get our cut sheets from them to setup the scrapers that are gps controlled.Deere system is called Igrade.

When you say flat black soil you are describing a large part of the bootheel,the rest of it is flat sandy loam or flat white clay loam,lol ,we flat.
