We always have our best years in dry planting conditions. I understand this doesn't pertain to everyone, but its remarkable on clay soils how little rain it takes to get a rewarding crop IF you have enough moisture to get things growing and good roots established. The way the drought monitor looks to me is its setting up for a very efficient planting. If rains start coming mid-late summer it could be great...
