Curious what rate of manure per acre you apply(deep pit finishing manure)? Years ago we over applied and kept manure close to the barn. Probably was at 8-10,000 gals per acre years ago , now we are about half that and considering going lower , mainly to cover more acres. Now we use semi tankers and haul as much as 5-6 miles away , time consuming and expensive but worth it.
