Iron filter is your best option. Shorten term you can try putting "Iron Out" in your water softener salt. We have some Iron & Iron Out does the trick.




One thing to watch if you have an all in 1 (softener in the salt tank) , the iron out salt has a corrosive additive that makes fumes that will corrode the electronics(especially brass) in your softener controls.. Happened to me with my all in 1 Ecopure brand softener.
