Warehouse BBQ on Hwy 63 north in Ottumwa. Have you ever been to the Canteen Lunch in downtown ottumwa? Are there a lot 50 years ago while attending Indian Hills. Kind of an unique place then. Maybe still is.
Yes, the Canteen in the Alley is pretty unique, truly. Those that live down here kinda have the attitude that it's a shrine and should be worshiped and dearly regarded. Personally, I'm not a fan. Just don't care for what they call their loose meat sandwiches, or what we call at home crumble burgers. But I'm definitely in the minority around here. I probably should have included it with my little list above. |
