Subject: RE: Bifocals vs Progressive Lens?

North Central Illinois
I've never had bifocals. Many years ago when I started to need a reading correction for my glasses, I went to progressives. I absolutely hated them at first. They gave me a headache and I felt it was awkward to do anything with them. I even quit wearing them and went back to my old glasses without reading correction. I was able to play that game for about a year before push came to shove and I had no choice. My optometrist told me it takes time for some people to adjust. I started wearing them for a couple of hours a day and after about ten days or two weeks I finally got to the point where they did not bother me. I can see where someone who has had bifocals might have an even tougher time making the switch. Once I finally got used to the progressives I love them and would not consider anything else.
