Generally they stay open to about -20C 0F. Might get a skim of ice depending on wind and how it is located or setup.
Usually have to chip a few inches of ice in the morning when it’s colder than that. Just came through two weeks of -25 to -40 and didn’t need anything more than an axe. Some are located almost 2 miles from power so a heater isn’t an option.
