SE IL | I am wondering also. Have some land loans on variable rate and wondering if should lock them in. It seems to me that a lot of the $ the govt is handing out to banks is not being lent-it's ending up in the market-bonds, stocks etc which is keeping rates low. But I would think that can only work for so long. For sure if rates go very high will put a terrible strain on govt cash flow. As Gramps told me once "when you gotta borrow money to pay your interest you're in deep stuff". His actual words were a bit more colorful. |
