north west arkansas | So we’ve got a bottle calf that after we gave it the bottle last it went to run after my son for more and it started having what seems to be neurological problems. Anyway today it was still the same way. It can’t get up and actually can’t hardly even sit up but yet it still took its bottle today excellent. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. This pen has 4 orphaned calves in it and then this bottle calf. The orphan calves get no milk but are eating grain good . Anyway thinking about it I realized I’ve already lost two calves in that pen over say the last 3 weeks. The other two were completely fine one day and the next day they were sitting up but couldn’t get up at all and just really off. Not any respiratory problems or anything like that. So I’m kind of thinking now there problem was neurological as well. I talked to my vet and he is clueless but suggested trying some batril Incase it’s something bacterial. Any ideas at all? I’m completely clueless. | |
