If his name still on farm, county will get their share. If he signed over his rights a number of years before he went into the home than maybe not. Just had Acquaintance tell us what it will cost to move a parent from assisted living to a nursing home. The parent is getting quite old but still has a good mind. Cost was going to be around 100000 a yr in Iowa, 170000 a yr in Iowa.
