He's probably hoping you go home for about 6 months to think about it. Then you can come back with a toothache and tell him to do whatever he has to and whatever it costs to make the pain go away. An ounce of prevention goes a long way with dental care. Pay them now or pay a h#ll of a lot more later. I've had root canals and crowns and they both needed to be done. Same day crowns at my dentist. He has a state of the are CNC computer controlled milling machine that turns a blank piece of ceramic into a perfect fitting crown in about 45 minutes. The guy is an artist in dentistry. He does volunteer work in dentistry in south america on his vacation every year.
