So what is your thoughts on our $720 billion defense budget? NASA's funding in 2020 was $22 billion or 0.5% of the total federal budget. That $700 billion could be used for better things as well, yet we give it to defense contractors... Also, over the years NASA has contributed more to society then you think, from manufacturing, to technology and medicine.


My thoughts? I think it's high time we stopped being the world's policeman. I firmly believe it's high time our "allies" ponied up and picked up the slack for their own defense. Frankly, I don't much care about how we're perceived by the elites in Europe or any where else for that matter.

Thing is, those "allies" won't so long as Uncle Sam carries the freight. You know, I'd like the government to pay for my health and it sure would be nice to have our higher education paid for. Those mandatory weeks of vacation would be sweet, too. That bloated defence budget kinda cuts into that though, doesn't it.

What else do you want to know?
