Yeah, for the driftable fines, it is still important to know that because it is driftable fines doesn't mean its automatically going to blow into the neighbors field. There'd be a number of factors (sprayer speed, wind speed and direction, active chemical agents and 'driftability qualities', adjuvants (to an extent)).

So, even though a nozzle might have 20% driftable fines, much of it might evaporate or be deposited 5' off-target (not-so-much a miss), 50' off-target (typically same field), or 500' off-target (usually fraction of a percentage - like 0.25-0.5% of volume with high chance to evaporate before reaches target).

It isn't so much a save 20% more chem by doing this, it'd be moreso shifting the volume of 'effective' spray to make the most of your chem on the first pass. Again, if you can be more consistent with the stuff in your control, it still helps, but doesn't reduce the need for good sprayer applicator experience and adjustments to field/conditions.
