I guess I maybe worded that wrong, I meant that I was maybe expecting more of a cost difference between the two by already having the monitor. Other question is hat our Deere dealer said sf1 on a 6000 receiver is just as good as sf2. Is there any truth to that?
Not quite. The new SF6000 receivers have about 6 inches of accuracy on the free SF1 correction and SF2 was from the SF3000 receiver technology which had about 2 inches of accuracy. The SF6000 receiver now has SF3 corrections which is 1.2 inches accurate and 9 months repeatable.
With that all being clarified, I have done replant on SF1 when my subscription ran out, and was ok with the results. Those cases, the $650 for 90 days wouldn't have paid for itself.
