| Tandem axles come in handy on rough ground or endrows of corn, helps keep from bouncing the heads and the spout so much. On the flip side, if you make really sharp turns, they can mark up grass. Doesn't outweigh the benefits IMO.
Auger wear is a good place to look, if it has a crop processor, check the roll teeth, they run into money. Also the pan under the cutterhead can wear/rust through while the machine looks good yet. | |
