Southwest Illinois | I think online takes the personality out of it. I have watched one local large land buyer walk into sales and people don't bid because they know he is going to buy it if he shows up. I hate going to a sale because you usually have 3 or 4 bidders and 100 rubber neckers who want to have the story straight for the coffee shop and then an auctioneer who wants to drag out the sale of 3 tracts for 2 or 3 hours. You have people getting bidder numbers when you know there is no way they will even raise their hand, it's an ego thing I guess. | |
