know of a guy that feeds 1,000 head of cattle with 4 hydrants-250 head pens-he has the 500 gallon tanks just underneath the hydrants-feeds cattle twice a day-in winter time turns hydrants on in the morning till full and at nite chores till full-then shuts them off-in summer time hooks floats up-no heaters and gets along great
maybe just move your hydrant
