that one would agree with that statement -- the panhandle of Texas is one of 3 ( I believe ) areas that are actually attached to the National grid. So yes it is showing the folly of Texas being on their own power wise.
example is the residents in the Fargo-Moorhead area are going through short rolling blackouts to push power to those panhandle areas. hardly local control that is working
Natural Gas supplies fall.. a lot, refineries shutting down.. etc.
