I think NC prices have a way to go to get land prices out of whack.
Would disagree about rents in this part of the country, if corn is $4.50 and beans around $12 come Aug would guess cash rents will be up $50 to $100 acre higher in this part of ILL for 2022. with $100 plus acre FSA payments plus all the PPP $ . Then add another $300- $400 acre in crop income , land owners are going to want a bigger piece of the pie no matter if the tenant was able to reap all the benefits from the increase or not .
$100 + $300-$400= $400- $500 more gross per acre x 20% = $80-$100 acre more rent. |
