Subject: Sensor-1 monitors

West Central Ohio
I just purchased a six row John Deere 7000 corn planter and the monitor needs work and the wiring harness/sensors are shot. The monitor has a 10 pin male connector and the planter has a 12 pin female connector. I was given a quote for 1000$ for a new harness custom made to work on my 10 pin male plug. I’ve done some research online and found sensor 1 monitors for 700$ and the harness/seed sensors at Shoup are another 400$. Are the sensor 1 monitors something to stay away from? It would keep track acres planted and population which would be nice as mine only tells me if seeds are being dropped. Thanks!
