There also will be applications where EV's will be used even if it is not a cheaper alternative. Electric motors are very simple, they produce gobs of torque eliminating complex transmission system. I can think back when I dairy farmed a electric skid loader would be the cats meow, and the same thing for vehicle mixing feed and feeding. The new diesels seem to be troublesome for these jobs as they are under light load to much. I also know a fellow in the garbage business and the new diesel trucks are a major headache and it would seem a Ev would be a much less complex option. This might be where it starts and progresses from there. Most of my power tools are battery powered now, which I never thought would happen, but they have improved immensely since they were introduced.
