West Kentucky | Our first experience with it was on a wheat field that had been in pasture previously. We stripped an 80 acre field. With no palisade, the passes were about 95% down flat. With palisade, the wheat was closer to 95% standing and made almost 25 bushel/acre more, but both were very good. Since that year, we have felt like it has been easier to harvest plus easier to plant beans behind it. Most years, we feel like the advantages are worth it, but every now and then we don't see much difference at all. | |
