Not only did the price suck but there were several weeks that you just plain couldn't get any hogs to market.
Kooiker late last fall our gov't paid us for hogs held back as the plant we shipped too just stop taking any pigs and the Olymel plants in Quebec were really backed up....They actually paid guys to ship pigs to King City , Ill....... What we got was just under $4 usd. for months plant was closed and holding hogs back
