Eastern Shore of MD | I go after them early spring when they are in the rosette stage, like late March to first few days of April.
Sharpen @ 1-1.5 oz plus the first part of residual program. Follow Sharpen label closely with application rates and additives for best success. Have left RU out when I wanted cereal cover crop to grow a while yet. MSO with Sharpen will burn the crap out of the cereal cover crop but it will come back, in my experience.
IMHO That time of year it is too cold and lack of sun for glufosinate to work effectively and I would rather not use 2,4D.
