Northeast Iowa | The new soy processing plant in Shell Rock has sent out solicitations for $300,000 invest in the plant last week. The partner Co-op, Mid-Iowa, has sent out the mailings to members. $300,000 is the current minimum investment that buys 10 shares in the new plant. (Expected capacity to process 38.2 million bushel annually)
Does anybody here have any insight or experience to a similar situation? This is the first time I've been presented an opportunity like this on this scale: but the profitability and return on investment for something like this is foreign to me, especially since there is no history for the plant.
I have a lot of faith the plant will be successful where its at.
