WC MN | Not at all. Yields will increase over time, but it is not a given and when acres are on the top end of historical ranges it makes it tougher to have top end yield as well. What is necessary for record yields in Missouri and Kansas (cooler and wetter) is not what produces best yields in ND and SD. 04' was a disaster in the northern plains. 09' and 19' were not far behind. Other areas had great yields then. As the corn belt expands in acres, its harder to have bigger per acre yields. 2016 was probably as close to a good season of the most coverage that I can think of. | |
