Could you adjust your sampling timing to spring? Thats what I have done with all my acres. Probe goes in much easier, I can do it when fields are too wet to plant, with more consistent soil moisture. I can be more consistent in timing of sampling, and I have all summer to prepare fertilizer applications for fall.
