Educate me please.I read some where that you multiply corn price by 2.2 to compare to bean price.Is that valid or just a fallacy?”Here” we can easily grow 50-60 bu./ a. beans if you really farm it.Corn is not well suited to this area.We can hit 200 + some years if the stars align but most years you can bank on 150-170 and that is farming it full tilt boogie.No stops.Good seed,good fertility program etc.I know beans are less on inputs per acre and you can harvest more acres quicker than corn.We try to keep corn in the mix for the rotation advantage.Guess I sorta think that 2.2 to 1 may not work so well “here”.
