Does anybody know the ceiling on a soybean plant. 100% yield potential at its peak? Soybean yield talk reminds me of trying to get a car that goes 85 to go 87....sometimes. Maybe we are peaking... Best way to make money on beans for me is
1. Put O fertility on them, we choose to apply maintenance or removal levels however.
2.Handle them better from the plant to the header, through the combine, and out the auger. (Not pouring them over a tarp strap and watching them ping all over the road, how many pods does that take?)
3. Plant corn
Well, once got a hand me down Ford Pinto to do 96, just needed a tailwind and a slight downgrade, lol.
Ceilings seem to keep rising with crops, I remember back in the late 70's sitting thru a lecture that yields had about topped out with the high risk they would start trending down .......... World starvation was just around the corner, blah, blah, blah .......... |
